Our school provides a safe, secure environment where pupils encounter opportunity for success in learning and living. Each pupil is valued as an individual regardless of race, religion, gender or disability, and encouraged to make a positive contribution to the school community. At Brynnau pupils are encouraged to make the most of their talents, to develop their personality and grow both morally and spiritually.
Brynnau Primary is situated in the extreme south west corner of the Borough of Rhondda Cynon Taff and lies at the heart of a long-established village community in the semi-rural area of Brynna. Our main school building is of traditional design having been built in 1904; a modern single storey extension was added in 1998 and a further two classrooms and administration wing were added in February 2013. The school houses eight classrooms and an IT suite in the main building, two further classes are accommodated in a demountable classroom within the school playgrounds. There is a spacious hall, which is used for Physical Education, Drama, Assemblies, Breakfast Club and Dinner Times and a range of extracurricular activities.
The outdoor provision is an outstanding feature of our school where the children have access to our outdoor areas, community garden and woodlands. We are extremely privileged to have access to a purpose-built outdoor classroom and nature trails.
The education pupils receive serves to foster discipline and high personal standards achieved in a positive, caring atmosphere, which permeates everything they encounter in our school. Pupils are also encouraged to develop self-esteem and self-confidence through a range of extra-curricular activities.
